Are you ready to make beautiful botanical inspired prints?

How is this workshop set up?

Using graphite pencils, we will focus on capturing the delicate details and textures of plants, from their leaves and stems to their intricate flowers and seed pods. You'll learn the techniques for shading, blending, and creating different values and tones, as well as how to create a composition that is visually appealing.

In addition to creating botanical drawings, you'll also have the opportunity to learn about the RISO machine and how it can be used to make unique prints. You'll create a fun composition or illustration that you can print and take home.

After you sign up, you will get an email with instructions and some handy tips to get started at home.

At the studio: we will start with an introduction to the RISO printer and how it works, followed by an experimental print to understand how pencil will translate to riso. From there we will look at the plants we want to draw and with guided exercises, get into drawing our plants.

Afterwards you will time to finish your designs and start printing!

You get to take home: 2 small prints (A5) or 1 big (A4) print!
You will get to print your design in two colours and take up to 15 copies home.
