In this course you will get to illustrate and print your favourite recipe with RISO in 2 colours!

In this course we want to share the personal happiness that recipes can bring out into the world. Bring your favourite recipe (or one of your grandma) and tell us its story! From composition to illustrating, and finally printing. This course has it all for those interested in the art of cooking. 

During this course you will learn about composition, as well as different techniques of digital illustration for Riso. You will also learn about separating the colours of your design digitally to print in riso.

Finally your recipe will be put together into an accordion style booklet for you to take home!

A basic knowledge of programs like photoshop, Procreate on iPad, or similar will be needed so we can prepare final drawings into files for printing but you will be provided with our tutorials and, of course, guidance every step of the way.

• Effective Visualisation of information,

• Design and composition of book pages,

• Layout of text and visuals,

• File preparation for risograph printing,

• How to collate a booklet or zine,

• Planning the printing of a booklet or zine with riso,

• Riso Printing process,

• Hand stitch binding.

An overview of the 2 days:

Day 1 - Wed 8th of June

On Day 1 you will get an introduction to risograph printing and we will look at your chosen recipes. You will be working on your layout and colour choices.

Day 2 - Wed 15th of June

On Day 2 we will print your recipe! Once the printing is done, we will gather all the participants recipes together into a cool accordeon book that you will take home!

Home Prep (how much time do I need to set aside for this?)

Please take into consideration that you will need some days bewtween week 1 and 2 to work on your recipe.
