This workshop is designed for those curious about how Risograph printing works, especially when paired with the Procreate app. It's a great starting point to learn the basics and decide if you'd like to join an advanced course or become part of the Riso Club!

What will you learn?

Not only will you discover how the Riso printer operates, but you'll also create your own design tailored specifically for Riso printing (a process known as pre-press).

Why Procreate? Procreate is a popular app among iPad users, and it's exciting to see your digital work transformed into a tangible product rather than just viewing it on a screen. This is where Riso printing becomes a fantastic technique to explore and learn.

How does the workshop work?
50/50 Online & Studio

This workshop is divided into two parts: Part I, which you can complete from the comfort of your home, and Part II, held at the studio!

Part I:

Beforehand, you'll receive introductory videos and homework to help you get started. Don’t worry—you’ll have a full week to work on your design.
Once your design is ready, you can either send it to the studio in advance or, if you need more time, finish it during the studio session.

Part II:

On Thursday, Jan 9th, we’ll meet at the studio for an exciting printing session!
You’ll get hands-on experience with the Riso printer, experiment with test prints, and make final tweaks to your design before printing your end product!
