This workshop is aimed for those who are curious about how riso printing works specially with the app procreate. A great place to start, learning the basics and decide if you’d like to take part of a advances course or join the riso club! (Deadline to subscribe to workshop is 7th of February so you have time to work on your piece!)
What will you learn? I will show you how the RISO machine works, we will play with textures and create a fun composition/illustration that you can print and get sent home.
Why procreate? As this app has become quite popular with iPad users, it has its own tips & tricks to be able to be used with riso.
How does the workshop work?
50/50 Online & Studio
You take the workshop, Part I from the comfort of your home, and Part II at the studio (as long as restrictions allow or as an online live session if lockdown continues)
Part I: You will receive intro videos and homework beforehand!
Don’t worry, you’ll have a week to work your design.
You then send your design to the studio through email.
Part II: We then meet on Thursday the 17th of February, where we have a printing session!
Everyone gets an assigned time slot so we can concentrate on your design & print options :D and you can also watch as we print the rest.
Why online? you still follow the workshop, don’t need to travel to the studio, you have a cool plan for the weekend, and you still have your final output!
I had the best time on the online Taste workshop with Aafke in Riso pop. The introductory video was very clear and she really explained what we needed to do very well. The workshop itself on the day was fun and it was nice to see what everyone else had created and also to see their prints as they were made. I really recommend the course to anyone!
