Learn the whole process of making your own riso zine!

During this 4 week course you will be working on your own self-published booklet or zine. You will be part of the whole process of creating, printing and binding a self made booklet. I have created this 4 week course so that you can have enough time to create content and print your zine.

What will you learn in this 4 week course?

  • Introduction to riso printing for publications,

  • Tips and Tricks on storytelling - how to plan your zine,

  • Design and composition of book pages,

  • Preparing files to print with riso (max 2 colours)

  • Preparing and planning the printing of a booklet or zine with riso

  • Riso Printing process

An overview of the 4 days:

Day 1 - Wed 19th of Jan

On Day 1 you will get an introduction to riso printing, and we will look at the basics of creating a zine. I will give an overview of how to plan your zine and tips & tricks of what to keep in mind during your the design of your pages.

You will also have time to brainstorm ideas and plan the content of you zine.

Day 2 - Wed 26th of Jan

On day 2 you will put together your zine and we will make decisions about colours, fonts and overall details. We will go into the technical aspect of preparing your files for riso printing. The aim will be to have your pages ready in separate layers and to print your first ‘dummy’.

Day 3 - Wed 2nd Feb

On day 3 the plan is to start printing!

Day 4 - Sat 12th Feb - FULL DAY

This last day is on a Saturday, so we can finish printing and start the folding & binding process!

Home Prep (how much time do I need to set aside for this?)
