Enjoy a Saturday afternoon making a classic riso product: a zine!
During the afternoon you will of course learn some basics about RISO printing, but the RISO machine will be mainly our tool for reproduction. I will show you some examples of zines, provide you with a template as well as guidance. Materials are available so you can jump in and have fun.
A zine is a self-published booklet; it can be a comic, collage, text. Completely up to you!
What will you make?
You will create a 8 page folded zine (booklet) that opens up into a poster. This workshop is not only about printing but storytelling as well. A zine can be on any subject you want, learn to plan your layout and make the most impact with your zine.
Online Version
This workshop is also available ONLINE. How does this work?
You register for the online version of the workshop (also limited spots available)
You will get the information on how to prep beforehand so you can make your design and send it for Saturday the 12th
Saturday you will join ‘live’ during the printing process! I will try to give you a time slot so you know when your piece will be printed!
IMPORTANT- If you are joining online, you should be able to send your work by email.
