A response project - get inspired by others!

During this workshop you will not only learn the basics about RISO printing, but we will also jump into the world of zine making! Tell your story and produce a product ready to be shared with friends.

A zine is a self-published booklet; it can be a comic, collage, text. Completely up to you!

Join this response project where you will be given the work of your peers (other participants) as inspiration to work on an A3 folded zine. By assigning everyone an “inspirational partner”, we hope to print an exciting collection of small zines that represent you all visually. Rather than just working on our stuff individually, the idea of this workshop is to bring people together to discuss and share their work and get inspired by others!

How will it work?

At Home:

A week before the workshop you will receive an email with a link to the social media (or website portfolio) of a fellow participant (chosen by us at random)- you will take this as inspiration to create an A3 poster. You will also have access to a workshop page to learn how to prep files for riso.

Day 1 - Saturday 15th - 10am to 1pm

On our first day we will get to know each other in person and you will get to print your poster with the risograph, and show it to your “inspiration partner”!

You should also have now a poster inspired on your own work by someone else. Final step will be to take this work and create a 8 page folded zine (booklet).
We finish early on Sat so you can work at home.

Day 2 - Sunday 16th - 10am to 4pm

On our second day we will print the other side of our A3 - the zine! From here, we will fold and cut to create our little booklets with a poster foldout.
