This workshop is aimed at those who would like to create an illustration/design to print with the risograph. You will learn how to create an illustration that will take the maximum advantage of riso printing, and also how to work on your files to make them ready for print.
We will also talk about texture options that the risograph provides.
Note: this is a different workshop from the original “Full Day Digital Techniques”
How will the online workshop look like?
The workshop will be given in 2 parts:
Part I: Introduction & 2 different ways of preparing your files for riso.
On Saturday the 9th of May you will join a live session where I will guide you through the steps of creating an illustration/design specifically for riso.
I will show you my tips & tricks, what to keep an eye on, working on your files and transforming them. into the proper output for the riso printer.
This live workshop will also include time for Q&A’s.
You then get a week to work on your design & a one-on-one chat with me about your work.
Part II: Let’s ‘meet’ at the studio and print!
Everybody gets assigned slots to meet with me 'live' at the studio, where I will print your design together with you. I wil show you each step of the process.
We close off with everyone and I show off everybody's work!

What can you expect from this workshop?
You will be creating a new piece (or re-creating work that you already have) to print a 2 colour A3 riso print!
You will have one-on-one time with me, like in my normal studio workshops so we can discuss your design and answer your questions.
You will also receive a handout so you can have the information for future reference.
We won’t be doing CYMK separation - this is another workshop.
Important: Participants should have photoshop installed (or another digital drawing programme that can export to PDF). If using an iPad Pro the app Procreate is recommended.
